Tony Painter – Chairman and CEO

Tony is an original founder of Oakbrook along with Craig and has been the Chairman and CEO of the firm since its inception.

Tony has over 28 years of experience in financial information technologies. (17 years with SEI, 4 years with Fidelity Investments, other consulting companies and 9 years with his own businesses Project Services Inc and Oakbrook Solutions Inc.) His primary experience has been in the asset management systems industry. He has been involved with several successful start-up companies as well as his own business on two occasions, the most recent of which is Oakbrook Solutions Inc.

Tony brings significant experience in managing large complex systems implementation projects, system searches, mergers, acquisitions and strategic development for the asset management and wealth management industry inclusive of trust, portfolio management, employee benefit and family office systems and services.

Tony attended the University of Nebraska and served for 5 years in the US Air Force.

Craig Cook - President

Craig founded Oakbrook along with Tony. Craig is currently the President of the firm and also works on new business initiatives.

Craig has over 23 years of experience in technology based solutions for trust accounting system providers. His experience includes staff positions at Wachovia, Sovran (Bank of America), and Broadway & Seymour. He started his own consulting practice, Cornerstone Software in 1996, and became partners with Tony in 1999.

Craig brings significant experience in analyzing, designing, and delivering application software based solutions of varying scopes and sizes. These solutions are accomplished by leveraging Craig's knowledge of business combined with his technical and project management skills. His expertise areas include the trust and custody, portfolio management, employee benefit, private banking, and family office areas.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Business Administration and also did some MBA coursework at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

George Village - Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer

George Village is Oakbrook’s COO/CFO, overseeing its administration/finance operations. In addition to being responsible for the company's Human Resources, Recruiting, Tax, and Financial Reporting functions, Village oversees Oakbrook’s overall risk, liquidity, and balance sheet management as well as it’s vendor relationships.  He also manages Oakbrook’s banking relationships, including cash and debt management, and oversees the 401(k) and benefit plans.  Village is based at Oakbrook’s corporate headquarters in Winston-Salem NC, and reports to the CEO and President.

Village joined Oakbrook after accumulating twenty-five years of experience in the technology sector in the areas of management, accounting, consulting, and finance working for such companies as Accenture, Fidelity Investments, IBM, and NovusCG.  He formerly worked with both Tony Painter and Craig Cook at Fidelity Investments.   

Mr. Village holds a PhD in Economics from The University of Notre Dame, an M.B.A., and a Bachelor's degree (Accounting) from Pennsylvania State University.

Victoria Koble - Managing Partner, Relationship Management Leader

Tori joined Oakbrook in 2003 and is responsible for leading the Relationship Management group as well as acquiring new business.

Tori has over 25 years of experience in Trust and Investment Management technology. She was Trust Operations manager at PNC Bank for 9 years. There she managed several Trust system conversions including Trust 3000 and AM TRUST as well as the daily operation. The most recent 15 years was spent at SEI Investments working with technology and back office clients. Her roles included training, consulting, implementations, product management, relationship management, and sales management. Her clients were national as well as regional/community size organizations.

Tori brings significant experience with business procedures, conversion processes, client service objectives, cross-selling, contract negotiation, and managing a P&L. When providing client solutions, Tori leverages her knowledge of the Investment Management business, the Trust 3000 application, building and managing cross functional teams, and mentoring staff.

Tori holds a BS in Business Administration, major in Accounting, from Geneva College. She also did MBA coursework, concentration in Finance, at Gannon University and she holds professional licenses – NASD Series 24 & 7.

Hamilton Dunn - Managing Director, Sales & Marketing

Hamilton joined Oakbrook in 2001 and is responsible for Sales and Marketing including acquiring new business.

Hamilton has over 18 years of experience in financial information technologies, specifically in the Asset Management, Brokerage, and Consumer Banking industries. He has held leadership positions at NationsBank (Bank of America), Fidelity Investments, and KPMG Consulting (BearingPoint).

Most of his career has been spent managing large complex projects involving M&A-related system conversions, client implementations, systems integration, and vendor evaluation and selection processes. Hamilton has worked with trust, investments, proprietary, mutual fund clearing, retirement services, and brokerage systems.

Hamilton holds BA degrees in Economics and Political Science from Virginia Tech.

Judith Hall - Managing Director, Relationship Management

Judy joined Oakbrook in 2004 and is responsible for managing client relationships as well as acquiring new business.

Judy has over 20 years of experience in Trust Operations and Technology management. She was Trust Operations Manager at Central Fidelity Bank (acquired by Wachovia) for 15 years and at The Trust Company of Virginia. She was also a manager of Client and Product Support Representatives at Metavante Corporation for several years. Judy has managed several system conversion projects throughout her career including Metavante, SEI, NCS, Infiserv, and Sungard Shareholder Systems (Corporate Trust). Her primary Trust System focus for the past 10 years has been with the Metavante Trust System.

Judy has extensive experience in securities processing, project management, system conversions, contract negotiations, policies and procedures documentation, and business continuity plans.

Judy has her B.S., Business Administration and Management, from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her post-graduate courses include: Investments (Virginia Commonwealth University), Supervision and Personnel Administration, and Principals of Banking (University of Richmond), Certified Trust Operations Specialist, Cannon Financial Institute, June 1990. Certified Securities Operations Professional, Institute of Certified Bankers, January, 1997. Personal Trust Fundamentals, Cannon Financial Institute, June 1997.

Tim Buhler - Managing Director, Relationship Manager

Tim Buhler joined Oakbrook Solutions in 2006 and is responsible for managing client relationships as well as acquiring new business.

Tim has over 10 years experience in Corporate Benefits Services (retirement savings) and Institutional Trust Services.  He worked within the First Union Capital Management group as a project manager on 401k implementations and system enhancements.  Most recently Tim worked as a Relationship Manager with the Wachovia Institutional Custody group.  His corporate accounts covered mostly NC, SC, GA, FL and job duties ranged from hiring, cross-selling, handling client inquiries, maintaining legal documentation and negotiating new custody arrangements.  Tim was also responsible for managing and training the Charlotte, NC office on SEI, Sungard, Investment Scorecard and the Institutional Trust business.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Radford University.

John Bovatsek - Managing Director, WealthWorx® Process Solutions

John joined Oakbrook in 2004 and is responsible for managing the WealthWorx® Process Solutions practice.

Recognized through the launch of WealthWorx® as an expert and visionary in the application of Business Process Management for Wealth Management, John has been providing leadership in large scale systems and operational initiatives for over 15 years.   He brings an extensive background in strategic consulting, change management, and business integration services in the areas of investment processing, management, trading, administration, risk management, and compliance.  His specialty is in architecting business process outsourcing, application services and integration arrangements in order to maximize value for his clients.  Prior to joining Oakbrook, John held positions as Client Services Director, Service Quality Program Manager, and Product Manager at SEI Investments and formerly served as an Information and Engineering Systems Officer in the US Navy.


John holds an interdisciplinary Masters degree in the Management of Technology awarded jointly by the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and the Wharton School of Business.  He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Emory Sanders - Managing Director

Emory joined Oakbrook in 2006 and is responsible for delivery of projects as well as acquiring new business. 
Emory has over 30 years of experience working with the Trust and Wealth Management industry, including 7 years with Barnett Banks Trust Company and 25 years with SunGard.  His roles at SunGard included Trust Consultant, Account Executive, Manager of Installations, and most recently as Vice President of Professional Services.

 

Emory brings significant experience in system implementations, working on over 150 conversions.  He has extensive background in project management, account management, conversions, training, and consulting.  Emory has also worked extensively with clients involved in mergers and acquisitions.

 

He has a BA degree from University of North Florida.  Post graduate work includes the MBA program at UNF, and a graduate of Florida Trust School.

Steven Conway - Managing Consultant

Steve joined Oakbrook in 2006 and is responsible for client relationships and acquiring new business for investment products and services in particular Advent Software related products.

 Steve has over 20 years experience in investment management and brokerage services as well as related technology.  He has been involved in both buy-side and sell-side activities including full service and discount brokerage as a broker, trader and operations manager.  He was with Advent Software, Inc for 5 years as a project manager where he successfully implemented multiple clients with software solutions including Advent’s Axys and Moxy.  Additionally, he was responsible for the coordination of consultants directly involved in the implementation and ongoing support of Advent users.  Steve has also been a consultant on Axys and Moxy implementations for several large banks requiring integration with the SEI/Advent Office product.

 

Steve brings a vast amount of knowledge and resources to Oakbrook Solutions to assist in the implementation/migration to brokerage and trading platforms for current and new clients.

 
Steve is a graduate of Advent University, Advent Software’s extensive training program and has held NASD licenses including the Series 7 as well as several principal licenses.
